چکیده
Abstract This study examined the effects of adding iron to rice hulls samples (RHs) on thermal degradation prepare nano silica and oxide-silica mixtures. Iron is precipitated in different amounts within RH fibers (as hydroxide) by dipping them a solution concentrations acidic ferrous sulfate then immersing it dilute ammonia solution. The dry RHs were fired at temperatures between 400 °C 700 static or limited air atmosphere. Both weight loss residual are determined follow its degradation. products mixtures characterized X-ray diffraction Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. surface area, average particle size, pore diameter both determined. chemical treatment before firing accelerates their leads obtaining high purity. Firing atmosphere increases and, same time, catalyst effect Under these conditions, oxide bonded with an size 1.31 0.07 μm obtained treated 600 500 °C, respectively. encourages CO 2 react burned C form CO, as accelerator for this reaction completes In contrast, remained state. Therefore, bonding was complete.

Synthesis of Silica-coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles: Preventing Aggregation Without Using Additives or Seed Pretreatment
The Stober process is frequently used to prepare silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticles. This is usually achieved by seeding a reaction mixture consisting of water, ethanol and a catalyst with iron oxide particles and adding a silica precursor. The hydrolysis and condensation of precursor monomers results in the deposition of a silica layer on iron oxide particles. However, this process is acco...
متن کاملRemoval of Fe2+ from Aqueous Solution Using Manganese Oxide Coated Zeolite and Iron Oxide Coated Zeolite
The adsorption of Fe2+ by the manganese oxide coated zeolite (MOCZ) and iron oxide coated zeolite (FOCZ) was studied. Surface properties of adsorbents have been investigated for monitoring their changes and morphology for both of the MOCZ and FOCZ. Main variables namely; contact time, pH, initial concentration of Fe2+, size and dosage of adsorbent have been optimized, and the results contrasted...

Caveolin-1 and CDC42 mediated endocytosis of silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticles in HeLa cells
Nanomedicine is a rapidly growing field in nanotechnology, which has great potential in the development of new therapies for numerous diseases. For example iron oxide nanoparticles are in clinical use already in the thermotherapy of brain cancer. Although it has been shown, that tumor cells take up these particles in vitro, little is known about the internalization routes. Understanding of the ...
